ALFCO filters generally marked the type of filter along the edge of the frame. The table below will provide you with the Filter Factory equivalent type. If the frame is not marked, the description below should help you to determine the type. Note, some of the filters were marked XA, but were not actually XA filters. If your frame is marked XA, please check the description to verify the correct type.

White or white/blue polyester media pad with either one or two expanded aluminum face grids.

Multiple layers of expanded foil with expanded aluminum face grids. Material may be flat or corrugated, separately or together, depending on thickness of filter.

Polyurethane foam between expanded aluminum face grids. The foam is generally black or gray, but may be green or white depending on the type of foam.

Alternating layers of 16x18 mesh screenwire. Materials looks similar to what is in your window screens.
